Our expertises
Fishing
Our factories process more than 35 000 tons of pelagic fish every year. This fish is supplied both by our RSW trawlers fishing off Dakhla, and by partner vessels fishing in the ports of Safi, Agadir, Tan Tan and Laayoune.
The fish caught meets the requirements of our customers in terms of quality standards and traceability. The one caught by our vessels, is subject to control devices throughout its journey, from its capture at sea (taking samples on board for each haul and respecting the cold chain) to its processing in our sorting and freezing unit (sampling, freshness control and organoleptic control). On the other hand, the fish caught by partner vessels, meets binding specifications and is systematically subject to landing controls and regular audits by our quality control services. The quality of our resource is thus at the heart of our concerns and is not subject to any compromise.
Finally, LGMC is an active member of professional associations and a committed player in the preservation of fishery resources and the promotion of sustainable fishing.

FAO 034 is the area off the west coast of Africa, which extends from the Strait of Gibraltar to the mouth of the Zaire River. It covers an area of more than 14 million kilometers and mixes temperate, tropical and equatorial waters with lagoons and mangroves. Its fauna is formed by about 200 different species. It is in this area that we catch our flagship fish: sardines and mackerel.
